An exact diagnosis at the suitable moment can mean the difference between the hospitalization of a patient and its discharge, between the lightening of the symptoms or a prolonged suffering, between an intervention in time or the loss of therapeutic opportunities and, in the most serious cases, between the life and the death.
In search of a maintained growth, we have adopted a strategy that includes all the phantom of diagnosis, from the validation of proteins to the diagnosis in the attention place. Through our knowledge and experience in the discovery and the commercialization of diagnosis methods, we can accede to the most important opportunities at the market, to discover markers of potential diseases, to identify proteins with high utility diagnoses, to apply to validated markers of diseases to test platforms outposts, to take products to the market and to form to the doctors and other professionals of the health for the use of the new methods of diagnosis in benefit of the patients. Combining our capacities of investigation in each one of these areas, we created innovating products of diagnosis that surpass the limitations of the traditional technologies of fast diagnosis and try to cover the enormous necessity not yet satisfied to count on information of effective diagnosis in real time.
Development and engineering of antibodies
We considered that our internal capacities of development of antibodies allow to the fast identification and the development of antibodies with optimal characteristics of specificity, affinity and stability.
Initially, we used technology of hibridoma for the selection and production of our new antibodies. Nevertheless, this technology knows clearly disadvantages, like the required time to develop possible antibodies, higher costs and the necessity to reinitiate the process of development of antibodies when characteristics nonwished are discovered, like crossed reactividades. We have developed an own process based on the exhibition on macrophages of the antibodies that allows to the selection and production of antibodies with more rapidity and efficiency than the technology of hibridoma. This technology allows the dynamic generation of bookstores of customized Omniclonal® antibodies that contain genes that codify specific antibodies to the wished analito.
The produced Omniclonal antibodies from these bookstores can contain thousands of different antibodies that they are united to the analito wished with high affinity. The expression “high affinity” makes reference to the capacity of an antibody to connect firmly to the wished substance and is a highly desirable attribute. Potential the monoclonales antibodies can select themselves quickly from a bookstore of Omniclonal antibodies and take place in sufficient amounts for the product development.
During the development of products, the reactividades crossed unexpected between antibodies usually require the additional selection of antibodies to improve the specificity of the valuation. Unlike the technology of hibridoma, the bookstores of Omniclonal antibodies can quickly provide potentially useful additional antibodies in these cases.
Clonación and synthesis of analitos
Our capacities of molecular Biology include the clonación and identification of useful specific proteins for the development of inmunoensayos. We have developed own vectors of expression that allow to the production and purification of these proteins for the development of antibodies and its use like calipers and controls in our products of inmunoensayo.
In addition, our considerable experience in synthetic organic chemistry allows us to make the derived synthesis of the looked for substances and products useful. We developed products in which the looked for analito is small (for example the haptenos, like drugs) or great (for example the proteins, like enzymes cardiac). We considered that the capacity to develop, to stabilize and to make the looked for analito or its analogs is essential in the development of inmunoensayos of high exactitude.
Manipulation of samples
We have developed to own technology for the manipulation and preparation of samples, and even technology that allows to separate the total blood of passive form in its plasmático component or to put under it a lisis process to release the looked for analito. Also we counted on own technologies for the manipulation of samples of fecal matter that allow to concentrate and to purify the analitos or microorganisms looked for from solid fecal matter. In addition, we have developed technologies that can be used for the analysis of samples of tinkles.
Dyes of transference of fluorescent energy of the high sensitivity
The inmunoensayos require the fixation of a detectable label to the antibody or the looked for analito. We have developed all a variety of labels for its use with our products. To our qualitative tests, for example, one pays attention to the antibodies or analitos a visual label that it changes of color through noncovalentes or covalentes chemical methods to obtain positive or negative results.
In the case of our products of measurement platform, we have developed novel fluorescent dyes that connect to antibodies or analitos using the average noncovalentes and covalentes chemistries. Although the fluorescence is a potentially powerful label in inmunoensayos, its potential has been limited by the lack of dyes available stable and that do not produce interferences in the samples and by the necessity to count on a complex instrument for their detection.
We have invented our own dyes that fulfill the following criteria: (1) they can be used with complex biological samples like serum, shapes and total blood; (2) they are stable to date of lapsing of the product; (3) they use transference of fluorescence energy, which produces a displacement of considerable phase with respect to the fluorescence of reference of the samples and (4) they are excited to almost infrared wavelengths chosen to be compatible with little expensive components of solid state.
Microhair technology and of protein matrix
We have developed own technology for the design, development and manufacture of protein matrices that contain microcapillaries, to control the flow of fluid in processes of inmunoensayo.
The qualitative format of the device uses microcapillaries to derive the fluids through a membrane that contains zones of immobilized antibodies for the detection of specific substances. The format of protein matrix uses several microhair designs different to control the contact of the sample with the reagents and to control the passage of the fluid through the protein matrix. When a sample is added to the protein matrix, a filter installed within the matrix separates of the plasma the globules, that are derived by hair forces towards a camera that contains dry reagents of inmunoensayo. After a time of incubation determined based on another microhair element of the matrix, the volume of sample that made contact with enemy with the reagents flows by a hair route that puts it in contact with a matrix of antibodies. The union of fluorescent reagents in the protein matrix is detected by an instrument and it is resisted with the concentration of the substance that is being analyzed in the sample. Also we have developed engineering functions to design unique microhair structures in plastic modules and to make them on commercial scale using processes of molded by injection.
